Creepy but Nice

No, I’m not talking about any new movies out or specific people (though I could probably think of a few, that wouldn’t make for good reading material. ooh, except for this one story I have about a famous creepy person, but you’ll have to ask me in person because this is all public and everything. well, public for my twenty-something readers.)

Anyway.

Doesn’t it creep you out sometimes that everything you do online is intertwined with everything else? Like tonight, we were looking up my brother-in-law to do a skype date with them and as we’re typing in his name, a similar name of another relative popped up as a possibility. Not someone who’s on our skype list, but someone who’s related to our relative.

Creepy…

And doesn’t it creep you out when you’re facebooking and ads start showing up on your sidebar for things they think you need? I was recently disturbed to see depression medication showing up on my sidebar. And right below an ad for cocktail dresses.

Is it because I likes me a glass of vino at night on occasion? Or during a mommy’s time out? hmmm…

But then tonight, as I went to order a new wrap to wear Helen in all about Moscow, and hopefully look majorly cute doing so, Pay Pal came up for the payment.

And they know it is me on my computer. And they know my credit card number. And that means I don’t have to get my rear end up off this chair to go upstairs and find my credit card number before I change my mind on the color of the baby wrap.

And that is still creepy… but also nice.
