We’re deep in the boxes, piles and bags these days. We have suitcases on the couch, on the floor and in the corner. We have large duffles in a tall pile against our bedroom wall. The kids’ closet is slowly filling up with the stuff we want to be shipped via air, aka UAB (unaccompanied air baggage).
I’ve pulled out my clothes that are too small or too summery to be shipped by slow boat, since I won’t be needing them anytime soon. Seeing a bunch of cute clothes that are too little makes me want to get thinner.
So I’m exercising in the “gym.” And tonight is wii family fun night and my choice of games is Dance Dance Revolution. I really hope those clothes fit next summer!
And there’s this ever-growing list of things we want to take care of before the packers come on Tuesday, which is only 3 days from now. Haircuts, oiling the outdoor furniture, going to the bookstore for some school books that aren’t available online, culling through paperwork, making the shower curtain for Thomas’ bathroom, buy the herbs I want to have in the medicine tote…..
The list is a little like a country-western dance; 2 items added, 1 marked off, and at then end we sit down and have a beer. And yes, I know the beer doesn’t help with the skinny-ing up, but it does help with the sleeping.
