Today…

November 4, 2011 by Sarah

I unpacked about 20 boxes.

I washed about 5 loads of towels and sheets and stuff from boxes that smelled like old lady clothes.

I looked around and the only thing I could think was that I wish I didn’t know about that show Hoarders because the state of my bedroom is scaring me.

I kept repeating to myself, “We are making headway. Of course it will look worse before it’s better.”

I realized that our time here in Moscow is the last time some of these fabulous toys will be played with by my kids. What is outgrown will be packed up upon moving again, and some of it won’t be seen until I have grandkids.

I found 3 sets of crib sheets that we never used.

I unpacked the petticoat from my wedding day. It barely fit around one thigh. I would cry about that but I’m too tired to care. The petticoat got donated to the dress-up bin.

Everyone got to skype with dear friends except me and Helen because I was trying to get her to sleep. I fell asleep before she did.

I think I’m coming down with the stomach bug.
